Marina English High School was founded by Marina Educational Trust year 1963 under the initiative of a dynamic person Ms. Maria Valadares who visioned something great for the people of all castes and creed from village of Verna. In the year 1965, this school was recognized by the S.S.C Board Poona.
The first batch of S.S.C students appeared for the examination in March 1967.
After many years of hard work and dedicated service, this school was handed over to Diocesan Society of Education of 10th May 1999. Managers like Rev. Fr. Britto, Rev. Fr. Victor Rodrigues and others worked tirelessly to build this magnificent infrastructure and the was inaugurated on 17th November 2001.
It runs classes from K.G to S.S.C.E.
The medium of instruction is English.
Hindi is the compulsory second language from V-X.
Konkani is the only third language taught.
The course of studies of the school is arranged according to the syllabus laid down by the Directorate of Education as well as Goa Board of Secondary Education.
The Academic year is divided into two terms as per Educatio rules 1984 and relevant circulars. The First Term is from June to October and the Second Term is from November to April.
It has full-fledged library. It provides a platform for students showcase their talents and excel in sports and other activities
